Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog: Wedding/Anniversary

Hey everyone! We are going to do something new today. We are going to be doing The SSS Wednesday Challenge Blog! This weeks theme is wedding and anniversary. Hope you all enjoy!
For my card I wanted to make it vintage looking, but also tying in the wedding/anniversary theme as well. My color scheme for this card was brown, coral and gold. I thought that these colors just really went well together. For a vintage affect I used a piece of wood-grain printed paper from the Crate Paper DIY Shop 6 x 6 Paper Pad. I cut it down to about 4 1/4 x 3 3/4. I splattered that piece of paper with the Heidi Swapp Coral Color Shine just to give it a bit of interest and shine. I rounded the corners with my EK Success Corner Rounder and then put it to the side. I mounted my Fiskars Stamp Press with the tall flowers stamp from the Stampendous Agapanthus Thank You stamp set. I then inked up my stamp in Versamark Ink and stamped that off to the left side. Since versamark ink is a very sticky ink, it stays wet long enough for me to emboss with. I embossed the flowers in gold embossing powder by ranger. I love the look of this so far.

For the greeting on this card I took a piece of vellum and colored it with a coral colored marker and let that dry. When it was dry I stamped Love You Tons as the greeting from the Sketchy Banners stamp set from Simon Says Stamp in versamark ink. We actually won this stamp set from Laura Sterckz in a little giveaway she did and we love it. I embossed it in gold again and I think it looks magnificent. I used glossy accents to attach that piece to the pattern paper. I cut an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of white cardstock in half to make a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base. I used foam squares to mount the pattern paper on to the card base. I stamped happy anniversary from the Happy Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp in Hero arts shadow ink Bubblegum! I hoped you enjoyed LWKC's first attempt at the SSS Wednesday Challenge Blog. See you next time!
